The Planes of Existence is a term that is given to the many planes that exist that contain living beings. Each is unique in its own way and so are the creatures that live there. We call the plane we live on as the Prime Mortal Plane, while the other planes we call the Outer Planes. Those who think of other planes at all consider them remote, distant realms, but planar influence can be felt throughout the world. This section describes those that are either descendants or are beings from the Outer Planes.
The beings seem otherworldly compared to their Prime Mortal Plane counterparts. Whether it’s that parts of their body are made from the different elements or look like creatures unlike anything from our plane, they surely live up to their name of Planar Beings. They stick out like a sore thumb and often struggle to fit in. This is why many of them have found the life of an adventurer quite fitting.

Air Genasi
Air Genasi are descended from the djinn. As changeable as the weather, their moods can shift from calm to wild and violent with little warning, but these storms rarely last long. These types of Genasi typically have light blue skin, hair, and eyes with a faint but constant breeze accompanying them. Some Air Genasi speak with breathy voices, marked by a faint echo while a few even display odd patterns in their flesh or grow crystals from their scalps.

Earth Genasi
Being descended from the cruel and greedy Dao, Earth Genasi inherited some measure of control over earth, reveling in superior strength and solid power. Most are level-headed and will not make rash decisions, thinking everything out first. Some of these Genasi always have bits of dust falling from their bodies and mud clinging to their clothes, never getting clean no matter how often they bathe. Others are as shiny and polished as gemstones, with skin tones of deep brown or black, eyes sparkling like agates. They can also have smooth metallic flesh, dull iron skin spotted with rust, a pebbled and rough hide, or even a coating of tiny embedded crystals.

Fire Genasi
Fire Genasi have inherited the volatile mood and keen mind of the efreet. Tending to be on the inpatient side and making snap judgments. Rather than hiding their distinctive appearance, most Fire-type Genasi exult in it showing off their traits. Being feverishly hot as if burning inside, an impression reinforced by flaming red, coal-black, or ash-gray skin tones, while the more human-looking have fiery red hair that writhes under extreme emotion, while more exotic specimens sport actual flames dancing on their heads. Fire genasi voices might sound like crackling flames, and their eyes flare when angered. Some are accompanied by the faint scent of brimstone.

Water Genasi
The lapping of waves, the spray of sea foam on the wind, the ocean depths—all of these things call to the Water Genasi’s heart. Wandering freely They take pride in their independence, despite others might consider them selfish. Most Water Genasi look as if they just finished bathing, with beads of moisture collecting on their skin and hair that smell of fresh rain and clean water. Blue or green skin is common, and most have somewhat overlarge eyes, blue-black in color. A water genasi’s hair might float freely, swaying and waving as if underwater. Some have voices with undertones reminiscent of whale songs or trickling streams.
