Many Shadar-kai are subject to the “shadow curse”, doomed to lose their soul to the deep depths of Shadowfell. Their souls are loosely connected with their bodies, so if the Shadar-kai is knocked unconscious or put on death’s door – they are to roll a 1d6 to determine the severity of their curse’s toll.
