To be greeted with stares and whispers, to suffer violence and insult on the street, to see mistrust and fear in every eye: this is the lot of the tiefling. And to twist the knife, tieflings know that this is because a pact struck generations ago infused the essence of demons and devils into their bloodline. Their appearance and their nature are not their fault but the result of an ancient sin, for which they and their children and their children’s children will always be held accountable. Tieflings are derived from human bloodlines, and in the broadest possible sense, they still look human. However, their infernal heritage has left a clear imprint on their appearance.
Lacking a homeland, tieflings know that they have to make their own way in the world and that they have to be strong to survive. They are not quick to trust anyone who claims to be a friend, but when a tiefling’s companions demonstrate that they trust him or her, the tiefling learns to extend the same trust to them. And once a tiefling gives someone loyalty, the tiefling is a firm friend or ally for life.

Blood of the Tyrant
Being the most common of all Tieflings, these beings often carry the blood of the most powerful Archdevil of the Nine Hells, Asmodeus. Due to this connection, they can command the power of fire and darkness, are guided by a keener-than-normal intellect, and tend to be more charismatic.

These Tieflings most often trace their blood back to the paranoid master of secrets himself, Dispater. As a dealer of sought-after secrets and forbidden knowledge, it should be no shock that Tieflings of this bloodline gain access to magic that allows them to more easily obtain information for themselves, hide, and manipulate others. Those of this blood make excellent spies and infiltrators.

Blood of the Soldier
Tieflings with a blood tie to warriors like Zariel, are stronger than the typical tiefling and receive magical abilities that aid them in battle. Capable of dealing amazing melee damage in combat due to their connection to physically powerful devils, these types of beings are more physically apt than some of the other siblings of other sub-races.

The union of a drow Priestess and a Glabrezu, Draegloth are graceful, four-armed half-fiends that vary in visage and stature based upon their gender. The males are the more brutish of the two, taking after their demonic heritage far more than their slender, drow-esque counterparts. These beasts are monsters in more than just their looks, their reputation is earned for being impatient, bloodthirsty killing machines when unleashed upon an enemy. Drow views them as a gift from Lolth, deeming them sacred and treating them with respect, albeit whilst still holding female Draegloth in far higher regard than their brothers.

In a manner akin to the taint of tiefling’s infernal blood upon their physique, Fey’ri is warped by their demonic heritage in much the same way, albeit in a rather pronounced manner. Fey’ri appears as sun elves with a distinct demonic touch to their features, often bearing multiple arms, horns, varying numbers of wings, tails, and beyond. They value the purity of their corrupted blood, often viewing elves as lesser than themselves. Numbers of Fey’ri are few and far between, the result of nearly successful eradication of their bloodline by other elves, stoking that disdain further.
