The Aura of the lich is felt by any around them. All creatures can feel their terrible aura. It extends out to 3 foundations from the Lich as it drains their very life essence and alerts anyone in that radius of how terribly unnatural the source of the Aura is. 

All non-undead rolls all non-combat rolls are at a disadvantage when in the presence of a Lich.
